Whether you’re staying home this spring break or hitting the road, spring break can be a learning experience for your child. Here are some simple ways to incorporate learning into everyday activities.
1. Games. Games are a great way to get your children thinking. Start by testing their reading skills and going over the directions together. Then have them be creative and come up with new rules or different ways to play the game.
2. Filling up the Tank. Next time you hit the gas station talk to your children about it. Use math skills to figure out how many miles per gallon your car gets or have them help calculate the cost as you fill up.
