Here are Brook’s family recipes for Potatoes Paprikosh and her Homemade Cherry Pie.
Potatoes Paprikosh
2 pound bag of hashbrowns
1/8 cup paprika
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 package hot dogs sliced and halved
Cook hashbrowns per package directions adding spices. Cook until potatoes are no longer firm. Add hot dogs and cook until they swell and are a little crispy.
Grandma’s Cherry Pie
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup instant tapioca
3 cups frozen drained fresh cherries
1/4 tsp red food coloring
3-4 drops almond flavoring
1 tbs butter
I’m not sure how November got here so quickly, let alone Thanksgiving! I asked several people what sort of recipes they wanted for the big day, and most of them told me the same thing. They wanted a delicious meal that didn’t take a lot of work. Also, it had to be somewhat affordable. With that in mind, I put together this delicious, easy-on-the-wallet Thanksgiving menu (with a few healthy “Shari” touches).
