Fun at the Holland Aquatic Center
The Holland Aquatic Center joined us at our Park Party this week with fun games for kids. They also have loads of fun activities happening everyday at their center located downtown Holland.

Park Party Coming to Holland
The next Park Party of the summer takes place at Kollen Park in Holland on July 15th! This party is often one of our largest and we’re looking forward to a great turn out and a great time! The forecast shows hot and humid so be sure to bring a water bottle for everyone in the family and a lot of sunscreen! There’s also a slight chance of rain but remember our Park Parties go on rain or shine. Free lunches will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. for anyone 18 or younger. Then, Park Party action takes place from noon – 2 p.m. We have a full stage of wonderful local kid entertainment. We also have great Produce for Kids from Meijer, the Fifth Third Super Slide, Pine Rest Ropes Course, Ferris State University Climbing Wall and more! Priority Health will have FREE backpacks for the kids! My friends from the Holland Aquatic Center will be at this party with special fun for kids too!! Summer Reading Club 2010
The 2010 Summer Reading Club has officially kicked off at libraries around West Michigan! The six week campaign encourages kids to read all summer long! Simply visit your local library, sign up for the club and get reading!
This year we’ve partnered with great organizations to provide fun prizes for readers including Meijer, The Holland Aquatic Center, The John Ball Zoo, Avalanche Bay and the West Michigan Whitecaps!! Kids will even have the chance to win a trip for four to New York City.

Welcome to our Special Community!
One of my favorite things about this job is meeting so many wonderful people! Maybe it’s chatting with a mom at the Holland Aquatic Center or visiting with a dad while shopping at Meijer. I love hearing about what kids and families are doing, how they are making a difference in their community and the memories they are building as a family. Over the past few weeks we’ve seen a big jump in activity on this website. We’ve also seen our Facebook Fan base blossom. It’s exciting to see that kids, parents, grandparents and teachers are discovering this special little “community” we have that focuses on building healthy, happy, strong families here in West Michigan. If you’re new to us, welcome aboard! If you’ve been with us for a while, thanks for telling your friends about us! We love your input, ideas and inspirations. Know your input is valued and always welcome!
Winter Break Pool Party!
Come splash, slide and swim at the Holland Aquatic Center on Monday, February 15! It’s a special mid-winter break family pool party and you’re invited! From 1-8:30 p.m. your whole family can slide down the water slides, float in the whirlpool, climb the obstacle course and swim in the pools for just $11.50! That’s the price for the entire family!!! I’ll be there from 2-4 p.m. with games and prizes! It’s a great way to get the family playing, moving and having fun together. And one of my favorite parts-it’s always 84 degrees at the Holland Aquatic Center!
