Easter Seals Walk With Me

This week’s show featured the great work being done at Easter Seals of Michigan, where everyday they’re helping children and adults with disabilities or special needs.

If you are looking for ways to support Easter Seals think about participating in their 5th Annual Walk with Me event.  The community walk takes place on Wednedsay, June 17 at 6:30pm at the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids.  Cost is $25 and includes a walk t-shirt, food, refreshments and a pass to the John Ball Zoo.

Education Transistions

logo-nationalheritageFalling between the excitement and wonder of the first day of Kindergarten and the triumph and anticipation of high school graduation, the transition from elementary to middle school is a major step in a child’s educational experience. While the benefits of a K – 8 school help ease the shift, there are additional steps parents can take to help their children make the move.

National Heritage Academies recommend visiting http://www.education.com/reference/article/Ref_Preparing_School_4/ for helpful hints on preparing your child for middle school. For more information on the benefits of a K-8 school or the transition to middle school, please contact National Heritage Academies at info@heritageacademies.com or 1-877-223-6402.
