Maranda has teamed up with your local library to encourage reading with the Maranda Summer Reading Club! Even though kids are on a break from school, there is no excuse for taking a break from reading.

For participating in the Maranda Summer Reading Club, kids are eligible to win great prizes courtesy of WOTV 4 and their partners. Prizes include a Meijer gift card, tickets to Avalanche Bay, a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and so much more. Kids can sign-up for the Maranda Summer Reading Club by stopping by their local library and registering. Listed below are the libraries participating in this summer’s program.

The Summer Reading Club is open to any library in our viewing area, but most of the libraries in the southern market have chosen not to participate. We'd love to bring the program to your local library, so I'd talk to the librarian and encourage them to get involved next summer.

Your closest participating libraries would be Bridgeman Library, Comstock Library and Lawrence Memorial Library.

Encourage your kids to keep reading and have a great summer!

Is there a reason that there are no libraries in the Kalamazoo, Portage, Plainwell or Otsego areas that are participating. Those of us living in those areas would like some motivation for our children to read this summer also!!

Maranda: I understand that reading is important, but why are there no libraries particiapting in Battle Creek? My daughter loves to read, along with alot of other kids. Why not have a participating library here for them to win prizes as a reward for their hard work?
